As our new email marketing coordinator, you will see the email campaign from its earliest stages all the way to the finished product. You will be responsible for managing email marketing campaigns that effectively promote products and services.

You will plan and coordinate the creation of email campaigns interfacing between clients and the rest of the email marketing team. You’ll need to make sure everyone is on the same page, working toward the same goal, and deliver the campaign timeously. Some campaigns you’ll create and manage yourself and others you’ll coordinate with the team to create.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyse data to make informed decisions. If you are passionate about email marketing and possess the skills to drive measurable results, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

You’ll need to be able to communicate effectively on every aspect of an email campaign from deliverability, email marketing best practice, campaign management, working with mailing lists and segments etc.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to support business objectives and goals.
  • Create and manage email marketing calendars, ensuring timely delivery of campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build email templates that are on-brand and visually appealing.
  • Manage subscriber lists and segmentations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data.
  • Analyse and report on email campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations and best practices, including POPIA and GDPR.
  • Build relationships with email service providers and other vendors.
  • Stay up to date with email marketing software and technologies, making recommendations for adoption or upgrades.
  • Collaborate with clients to integrate email marketing with other marketing channels and initiatives.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in email marketing. If you don’t have 2 years’ experience in email marketing, then we will look at digital marketing experience.
  • Experience in email automation platforms.
  • Experience with A/B testing and optimisation.
  • Familiar with email best practices and data privacy (GDPR, POPIA etc.)
  • Experience with analytics and reporting.
  • Ability to execute email campaigns from start to finish.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Highly organised and detail oriented.
  • Experience with HTML and CSS for email templates.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • General digital marketing experience (website design, SEO, Google Ads, Social Media Management)

Remuneration is dependent on experience.
