Getting to know you: Tessa MacTaggart

Starting in an IT department in 1999 with a PC engineering diploma Tessa and her team were responsible for managing, supporting, training, troubleshooting, deploying software & hardware for over 400 users nationally.

TessaShe soon realised she had an affinity and love for document branding which quickly took her into managing and creating all internal Microsoft Office Templates.

In 2004 she joined an innovative but small company called CompuBrand where she was responsible for all project management, product development, testing and creation of smart documents.

After moving to Kenton on Sea in 2007, a few years and two baby boys later, Melaina offered Tessa a Joomla website project, and that’s where the Cantaloupe relationship began. In 2013 Investec approached Melaina about HTML template development. Tessa had been responsible to manage and develop all internal & external emails and backend RSVP systems, so she was the logical person for the job.

Tessa and her bright little assistant Kristie, along with Ian supporting them in the afternoon, are responsible for completing an average of 140 jobs for Investec every month. Tessa also enjoys website development on the Joomla and WordPress platforms. Although Tessa has a very broad scope of experience in the IT field which nearly covers everything (except programming), her passions lies in what she is doing now.

When Tessa isn’t behind her computer her hobbies include reading, gardening, running, cycling and spending time with family.

Working with Tessa has been such a fantastic experience. She is a really wonderful teacher and listener. She has taught me so much this past year, I really admire her and am very grateful.
Not only is she a wonderful boss but she is an amazing friend. She makes the working environment so much fun.
I am looking forward to our next years together, learning new things and wondering what it has in store for the two of us together. We make a mean team. Thanks for everything Tessa.
